INDEPENDENCE HOUSE, INC.

Promoting safe and healthy relationships
Dear Friends of Independence House,
We are excited to share with you that our 2nd Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention Conference titled “#SoMuchAbuse-Let’s End it Together” is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 1, 2021. The Conference, offered virtually this year, expects to reach an extended audience spanning far beyond the bridges of Cape Cod.
Just as exciting is our virtual 21st Independence House Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Community Breakfast this year. Held each October, the free community event brings together supporters, survivors, educators, counselors, businesses and neighbors to learn about domestic violence and remember those who have been impacted by it during October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year, we are presenting both events on the same day by first offering the Virtual Community Breakfast Event followed by our Virtual Prevention Conference.
Attendees to our virtual 21st Annual Breakfast will hear from expert speakers, a domestic violence survivor, acquire information and action steps that assist community members in helping to prevent domestic violence, and recognize domestic violence homicide victims in Massachusetts.
The Sexual and Domestic Violence Prevention Conference will offer programming in areas of interest as it relates to sexual and domestic violence in faith communities, marginalized communities, and community level prevention strategies. The Prevention Conference will educate adults, teachers, counselors, coaches, supporters, friends and neighbors, on all aspects of creating healthy and safe communities. A series of workshops/seminars, speakers, vendors, and surprises will encompass the day.
The 2nd Sexual and Domestic Violence Prevention Conference is made possible with the support and successful year-long collaboration from members of the faith, youth and disabilities communities who are key contributors to the program’s committee, offerings, and outcomes.
You can help make this day even more successful with financial support. Your sponsorship will assist us in providing quality speakers, resources, material and key elements to this important educational and meaningful day. Your kind generosity will be highlighted in all promotional material for the event which will officially begin this summer.
CAN WE COUNT ON YOU? I invite you to please take a moment to review the sponsor opportunities below and feel free to contact me with any questions.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Donna Giberti,
Director of Development and Marketing
On behalf of the Committees for the Sexual and Domestic Violence Prevention Conference and The Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Community Breakfast.
